Our next meeting is on Saturday 18 June at Shawford. There will be a workshop on Spinning with Nettles (not weaving as incorrectly listed in the programme) run by Brigitte Kaltenbacher. In the afternoon Brigitte will be giving a talk on using nettles.
The workshop will run from 10.30 till 1pm. There are 12 places available on the workshop. You will need to bring a working spinning wheel and, if available, hand carders. Cost of the workshop is £20 payable on the day.
There are 12 places on the workshop, anyone interested who has not yet signed up please contact Jenny
Brigette will round off her day with a talk after lunch, starting at 2pm following with a Q&A session.
For those not doing the work shop, it will be good to catch up with other members about on going projects as well as helping others explore the joys of ‘new’ fibre related toys.
Caroline will be reporting on events at the Associations AGM
There will be more info & a sign up sheet for anyone wishing to spend some happy time spinning at Little Woodham the 17th century living history village, for their “Craft though the Ages” day on Sunday 7th August.
Show & Tell will no, doubt take centre stage with the sales table being the warm-up act.
There will be access to the library for hire & return of books as well as equipment hire.
There will be the opportunity for those who have not paid membership to do so which will mean you will be eligible to vote at the AGM in July.
Subs will be due for the new sub year (April-March). £20 can be paid by cash or cheque on the day or bank transfer.
