2018 Events where the Guild has demonstrated

Richard Grapes, Shobhna Philips and Ann lovick represented the Guild. Ann was spindle spinning with a 3D printed drop spindle!!  showing an ancient  skill on modern equipment. Shobhna was spinning on a wheel and Richard brought his 8 shaft table loom. They each brought a selection of work  including hand spun and commercial yarns used in scarves cushions and jumpers

As well as the Guild Display of fleece, spun and knitted samples on display, Richard supplied a number of cardboard braiding disks for the public to have a go. He has a random  display of Kumihimo braids to show that can be developed from a very simple process.  There were Guild  Welcome leaflets and an Invitation leaflet  to attend the Guild Open Day in September to be passed out to those who showed any interest.
